Tuna Fish Pie 2013-12-20 12:39:18 Write a review Save Recipe Print Ingredients 1 c salted water 1 c diced potatoes 1.2 c carrots 3 TB onion 1 small can peas 1 TB butter 1 can tuna 2 TB flour milk 1 c sifted flour 1/3 c shortening water For White Sauce Simmer potatoes, carrots and onion in salted water for 10 minutes Drain, saving all liquids Add peas and set aside Melt butter in saucepan, add liquid from canned tuna and 2 TB flour Add reserved liquid and enough milk to make 2 cups Simmer, stirring until liquid reaches sauce consistency Add tuna and vegetables
For Pastry Mix sifted flour and shortening with enough water to roll and shape pie crust Bake at 450° Add filling to crust
