Orange Kiss-Me Cake 2015-10-14 15:22:00 Write a review Save Recipe Print Ingredients 1 large orange 1 c. raisins 1/2 c. walnuts 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 c. walnuts, chopped 2 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. shortening 1 c. milk 2 eggs Instructions Grease and flour 13×9″ pan Squeeze orange, save juice Grind orange rind, raisins, and walnuts using a coarse blade Combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda in mixing bowl Add shortening and milk Beat 1 1/2 minutes at low speed Add eggs Beat 1 1/2 minutes Stir in orange-raisin-walnut mixture Spread in prepared pan Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes Drizzle orange juice over warm cake Combine sugar, cinnamon and walnuts Sprinkle over cake

Cranberry Orange Relish 2014-01-04 15:36:12 Write a review Save Recipe Print Ingredients 4 c. cranberries 1 to 1-1/2 oranges 2 c. sugar Instructions Put cranberries through meat grinder Pare orange, remove seeds, trim off white membrane Put rind and pulp through grinder Mix with sugar and berries Let stand a few hours before serving Notes For future use, pour into canning jars, cover with paraffin. Aunt May’s Cranberry Orchard Spectacular 2013-12-19 21:17:12 Family holiday feast recipe using fresh cranberries, apples,apple cider, fresh mint and pecans. Can you say NOM? Write a review Save Recipe Print Ingredients 1 lb fresh cranberries 2 large tart apples 1 cup sugar 1 cup sweet apple cider 1 [6oz] pkg strawberry jello 2 tablespoon fresh mint 1 cup pecans Instructions Wash and de-stem cranberries. Peel, core and coarsely chop apples. Chop pecans. Run the three above ingredients through course head grind. Set aside. Prepare jello, replacing water with apple cider. Heat over medium heat until jello is dissolved. Remove from heat – cool 15 minutes. Chop the mint and mix into the above fruits/nut mixture. Add all to jello liquid. Spoon mixture into vintage glass lidded canning jar. Cover with lid and refrigerate until gel set. Serve with spoon right from the glass jar. Whipped cream may be dolloped along side spooned servings of cranberry.
