Crabmeat Casserole 2013-12-28 19:17:03 Write a review Save Recipe Print Total Time 1 hr Total Time 1 hr Casserole Filling 1/2 c Shortening 1/2 c Onion 1/2 c Flour 1 t Mustard Powder 1/2 t Seasoned Salt (ie: Old Bay) 1 c American Cheese, shredded 6 1/2 oz Crabmeat 1 1/2 c Tomatoes, diced and drained 2 t Worcestershire Sauce Cheese Biscuit Topping 1 c Flour 2 t Baking Powder 1/2 t Salt 1/4 c Cheese, shredded 2 T Shortening 1/2 c Milk
Instructions Melt Shortening in double boiler, add Onions and cook over boiling water for 10 minutes. Blend in Flour, Mustard, Salt, Milk and Cheese. Stir until thick and cheese is melted. Add Crabmeat, Tomatoes, and Worcestershire Sauce. Pour filling into 2qt casserole dish.
Cheese Biscuit Topping Mix Flour, Baking Powder, Salt and then add Cheese. Cut in Shortening until mixture looks like coarse meal. Add Milk.
Casserole Drop Biscuit Dough by teaspoons on top of Crab mixture. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.

Crab Newburg 2013-12-20 11:31:37 Write a review Save Recipe Print Ingredients 2 TB melted butter 1 TB flour 1 C milk salt 1 egg yolk 1/4 c. grated cheese paprika 1 can crabmeat flake toast or crackers Instructions Mix butter, flour, milk and salt until smooth. Beat egg yolk separately and add to mixture Stir over medium heat, being careful not to boil add cheese and a dash of paprika When mixed thoroughly, add crab serve on toast or crackers
